Elizabeth Creeden is a Plymouth artist noted for period embroidery reproductions and historically inflected designs. She creates all of the original artwork for the Plymouth Tapestry based on her own extensive research, drawing each scene by hand to be scanned, digitally printed onto linen, and stitched.

Formerly the owner of The Sampler, a downtown Plymouth shop specializing in needlework products, she is today the proprietor of Wellingsley Studio, where the Plymouth Tapestry is being produced.
