A 1769 Declaration of Food Independence in Plymouth
with Paula Marcoux

With their menu choices for the inaugural celebration of Forefathers’ Day, members of the Old Colony Club did not just put together a delectable dinner, they proudly advocated for regional food sovereignty. Learn about each dish they ate — its likely composition, its local salience, and its place in the Greater Atlantic culinary world.

The Plymouth Antiquarian Society and Pilgrim Hall Museum partner in a free public tour series of Plymouth’s historic Burial Hill.
