DE WAALSE KERK

(Walloon Church):

Now used by the Walloon church (French-speaking Protestants, also called Huguenots), in Pilgrim times it was the chapel of the St. Catharine's Hospital. Myles Standish is mentioned in a list of soldiers who were taken care of in this hospital in 1601, although his name was misspelled as "Myls Stansen."
